Prepare dough by mixing 2 cups atta, ghee and water
(knead the dough to semi soft, cover it and keep it aside.)
Make thick paratha of 7-8 in diameter
With a knife make a diamond or square shape on the rolled dough, by slicing crisis cross or vertically horizontally
Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai/ pan and put the shakkarpare in the medium hot oil
Fry till it turns golden colour
Remove with slotted spoon and drain shakkarpare on the paper towels to remove excess oil.
Prepare sugar syrup on the side
Put the golden brown shakkarpare in the sugar syrup and soak it well.
Let it cool down a bit and serve.
