Rolls filled with cinnamon, topped with tasty icing

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 3 cups Al Baker flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Filling:

  • ½ cup butter, soft
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • Frosting:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, soft
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

 

Step 1 :

In the bowl of a stand mixer, put Al Baker flour yeast, water, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, baking powder, Knead until dough feels satiny and smooth. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Step 2 :

With a rolling pin, roll one half of the dough into a rectangular shape, about 22 X 13 inches. Spread dough evenly with butter, Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon.

Step 3 :

Roll up dough into one long roll. Cut rolls about two inches thick. Place rolls in greased 9X13 baking pans. Let the rolls rise until double in bulk.

Step 4 :

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 20minutes until golden brown.

Step 5 :

Frosting: In a bowl, whisk together butter, sugar, milk, then Frost the cinnamon rolls.
