Toasted flour with dates and sugar

Ingredients

  • 500 Grams dates, chopped
  • 1 cup Al Baker flour
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron
  • 1/2 cup butter or Ghee
  • cups water
  • Topping: Dates, nuts

Instructions

 

STEP 1:

In a pan put dates, cover with water, bring to boil for few minutes to become soft.. Keep aside.

STEP 2:

In a pan heat Al Baker flour and stir until golden, add the dates, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, saffron, cook for one minute to enhance the spices flavor.

STEP 3:

In a food processer, put the dates and toasted flour, mix until mixture is smooth. Return to heat and add butter or Ghee. Cook date mixture on low heat for 20 minutes stirring well from time to time.Serve into

plater or glass. Arrange dates and nuts on top and serve.
